69 Michigan Shelters Waive Pet Adoption Fees on April 29
Are You Ready to Adopt a New Pet?
If you’re thinking about getting a new dog or cat, put April 29 on your calendar. On this day, 69 animal shelters in Michigan are waiving their pet adoption fees as part of the “Empty the Shelters” event.
What’s the Event About?
On Saturday, April 29, the Bissell Pet Foundation will cover the adoption fees for dogs and cats at 69 different shelters across Michigan. The only cost for adopters will be minor licensing fees, which range from $7 to $12.
Bonus for Adopters
If you adopt a pet that day, you’ll also receive an AdoptBox. This box includes helpful items for new pet owners, such as treats, toys, cleaning supplies, an ID tag, and a collar.
